I love coffee. If you follow me at all on instagram, you’re probably already well-aware of this. I also love hiking and traveling and always like to make sure I can have a tasty cup of coffee in the morning, no matter where I am. Over the years, I’ve found a few instant coffees I really love, but it was starting to think that maybe I should just be making my own. After all, what better way to be able to customize it to my tastes and needs? I really like the mushroom coffees from Four Sigmatic, so I thought I’d riff on my favorite one of those!
DIY Vegan Keto Instant Mushroom Coffee Ingredients

DIY Vegan Keto Instant Mushroom Coffee Recipe
- 3 tbsp instant coffee powder (I like this one from Anthony’s)
- 2 tsp/packets chaga elixir, or your preferred mushroom elixir
- 2 tsp maca powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tsp cardamom
The method is really simple – I just put everything into a small jar, and shook it around. You can very easily double this recipe if you would like more. You can also customize it to your own needs with whatever mushroom powders or other superfoods you happen to have on hand.
Yield: ~1/4 cup (12 servings)
Serving size: 1 slightly rounded teaspoon
How to prepare: Mix 1 teaspoon of the instant mushroom coffee powder blend with 8oz of hot water. Stir thoroughly and enjoy! You can add in whatever creamer or sweetener you prefer.
