I did a keto Q&A the other day on instagram (and then it immediately crashed for 10 hours, naturally). But during the short period of time it was actually up, I received a lot of great questions. Many of them were ones that I honestly […]

I really love pancakes, a lot. I also really love all things lemon-flavored, so when Shrove Tuesday (pancake day!!) rolled around again and I decided to treat myself, I thought I’d just combine the two and make some vegan keto lemon pancakes to enjoy!
If you’ve taken a peek at my instagram account any time in the past week or so, you’ll see that I’ve gone a little pizza-crazy. Okay, so I posted pizzas twice both in my feed and my stories, but still. That’s 100% more pizza than I’ve posted the rest of the year, so it feels like a vegan keto pizza overload. In fact, I don’t think I posted any keto-friendly pizza in all of 2018… writing the recipes for my cookbook sort of took over my life, it seems. (more…)
While coffee will forever be my first love, I’ve actually started drinking black tea in the mornings. That soon progressed to little tea lattes with plain coconut milk, and then I started adding turmeric and other spices for the anti-inflammatory benefits. I have some autoimmune […]
Falafel is one of my absolute favorite foods. I think I was spoiled during university when I lived right down the street from a Lebanese food place that was open until 2am (and was right below a 24 hour Tim Horton’s). Eating a vegan keto […]
Fall is in the air, and so I’ve been playing around with fall flavors every time I cook or bake something. For baking, this pretty much just means cinnamon and nutmeg go into everything. I grew up within walking/biking distance of three different apple orchards, and so apple cider and cider doughnuts were a mainstay of my childhood autumns. Every year when September hits, I start to crave one of these doughnuts. Obviously a plant-based, gluten-free, keto-friendly doughnut isn’t on the market, so once again, I’m left to create my own. After some trial and error, I arrived at this delicious recipe for vegan keto cider doughnuts.
Are you a soy-free vegan on a keto diet? Are you frustrated with the lack of protein options that aren’t seitan or mock meats? Have you been searching for a soy-free tofu and haven’t really found one that actually tastes decent? Well, you’ve come to […]
Guys, my cookbook went to print this week!!!!!!! I’m absurdly excited and decided to celebrate this momentous occasion by sharing a recipe from it! Since I’ve been making a lot of pumpkin recipes lately, it only seemed fitting to continue this trend by posting my […]
Vegan keto Nepalese curry might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you’re trying to come up with dinner plans, but hopefully, this recipes changes your mind! Recipe inspiration can come from many places, and in this case, it’s from one of my all-time favorite camping meals. When my husband and I go on long road trips, we usually end up camping overnight instead of going to a hotel. Often, this brings us to some pretty cool places. For convenience, we usually have a bunch of dehydrated backpacking meals with us, in case there aren’t any options around. (more…)
I’ve made it pretty clear that breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. You’ve seen me post vegan keto pancakes, vegan keto waffles and many iterations of noatmeal. Breakfast isn’t just sweet foods, though! In fact, I usually prefer more savory options in the […]
